Look forward to seeing you running in the park then - and to further/future posts !

Just been looking at the half-marathon website. Pretty motivational.
And, as you said, with the sun out...
Meanwhile, back to work.

Yes, as you may have guessed from the lack of posts, my running has been sporadic at best. Work travel committments and a tendency towards being a night owl do not play in my favour, but with the sun out as it is these days, it's hard to argue for long periods of time spent indoors.

This is why I don't go to Perth.

Instead of simply sitting in the park under a tree with a book and a pack of cigarettes I really do know that I have to motivate myself to run there in the mornings. And I will - once the unexpected muscle pains from spontaneous running in the wrong sneakers subside... ugh.

Seriously, I will.
(Not being sarcastic. I actually will)

No - I never did the half. Work got in the way. I still run though. I was in Perth for work recently and found that a wonderful place to go running - everyone there's so fit you feel like you really have to.

The JdL is almost exactly 2km around, regardless of whether you're running around the inside perimeter in summer or the outside of the walls in the dead of night in winter (yuk).

Did you ever manage to do the half marathon?...
Stumbled across your blog as was wondering how long the perimeter of the JdL is. Very proud of myself for doing three spontaneous laps early Sunday morning (and even running the two blocks home after!). Albeit a bit miffed as you didn't think four laps to be all that much!
