This is a list of the runs I’ve done in Paris. As I increase the number (and, presumably, distance) of the runs I do, this list should grow. I’ve had a hard time finding decent websites that do this because those that exist usually have hundreds of runs that are poorly organised. I’ve tended to make them up myself, either by leaving my home and running until I got tired, or by planning them out in advance to fit a training goal and then trying them out.
When I first do a run, I tend to write about it, you’ll be able to see a link to the relevant post here.

A nice, if short run – although if you don’t mind doing laps, it scales quite nicely. This can’t be done at night as they close off the park. The area is very convenient for me because it’s right next to where I live. You’ll cross lots of other runners doing their laps, especially on weekends and after work during the summer. |

Very similar to the run above, and almost exactly 2km, but doesn’t go inside the park, so you can do it at night when it’s closed. A few pedestrians to manage and the pavement gets a little narrow in places, but a convenient and scalable run, especially in winter when it gets dark 30 minutes after daybreak. |

Pont des Arts |
6.5 km |
Best done on a weekend when the right bank is closed to traffic. Pretty, especially the circuit in the Jardin des Plantes and the approach to Notre Dame on the return leg. You wouldn’t want to do this late at night. Some parts are over cobbles. |

La Défense |
9.4 km |
I have yet to run this course, for a number of reasons including the fact that it’s a bloody long way to run just before you’re supposed to sit down in a meeting looking suited, booted and zen-like. The logistical problems of getting my suit to work and getting cleaned up after/before need to get solved first. |
